But what if one of those messages was for you? And the person sending the message needed your help?
Would you trust them? Could they trust YOU?
Dylan and Molly are a couple of everyday 12-year-olds. When they get their first mobile phones, they are shocked - the phones both ring at the same time. When they answer, a mystery man introduces himself as someone from the future who needs their help right now.
But how can Dylan and Molly possibly help someone from the future? How can they be sure this isn’t just an elaborate prank? And why would someone with advanced technology need their help?
The mystery man explains that in his future there’s an advanced botnet that’s corrupting the global infrastructure. He needs the original computer’s code – a password, effectively – from the present day in order to gain access to the botnet and stop it from destroying society.
But Future TX’s time communication is new and unreliable. The mystery man’s telephone calls can be cut off at any moment. But, he can leave messages for the kids on social media to help them on their way. Can they help? Should they? Why were they chosen?
At first, Dylan and Molly decide to do nothing and block the calls, until they meet Dominic Santiago, a young boy who knocks on the door with a question, “Do you have a phone to the future? Because I do too”.
Together, they realise they need to team up if they’re going to save the future. Do they have what it takes to follow mystery man’s clues and find the code?
